Job Interview Advice for 2015!

If you don't have a full-time job, this is your time to figure it out and land that job.

Forbes gives advice about getting a job and they encourage you to ASK QUESTIONS during the job interview.  Now, this is a tight walk because you have to be careful how you ask those questions so you don't offend or seem aggressive.  But certainly you should be interested in the job and ask questions.

Where will the jobs be in 2015?  If you live near Cape Coral, Florida, you're in luck.

How to land that job this year?  There's a wealth of advice online to help you land that job.  But you can't replace networking and in-person help.  If someone important hands an HR department your resume, you have a leg up on all of the candidates applying online.  Find a real group where you can network in your field.  It may take time to find the right group, but it may pay off in a real job with regular pay and health benefits.

There are stories about beating the computerized applicant screenings online.  Beating the recruitment machines is not easy and it takes time.

There's a great article from Forbes: The 5 Biggest Wastes of My Time When I Was Unemployed

Read that article and learn from it.  Then, if you read that one, you may be shocked when it leads you to this post from Forbes How to Get a Job If You're a Twentysomething Woman.  "It helps if you're pretty."  Wow... the truth hurts.

Getting a job is not all about looks, of course, but it helps.  So does perseverance.  Applying for jobs online is not the only answer to finding a job.  Reach out and talk to people.

Hang in there... figure out the game in your industry... make new friends and NETWORK, NETWORK, NETWORK!
