She tweeted "casting note that came w/script I got today. For real..." along with this picture of the casting note.
McGowan was laughing about it, while also making a statement.
Do male actors receive similar notes?
Apparently, women are supposed to remain barefoot, pregnant and quiet.
Silent is not the way Rose McGowan rolls. So, she spoke up.
Then, McGowan dropped this bombshell on Twitter.
"I just got fired by my wussy acting agent because I spoke up about the bullshit in Hollywood. Hahaha."
Of course, with any firing, there's more to the story.
Either way, it's never fun to be fired... but maybe this agency is confused.
In Hollywood, the agency works for the actor.
The actor doesn't work for the agency.
And if an agency is scared off by a strong woman, that's not the agency for Rose McGowan.
She recently directed the short film, "Dawn." She's going to have a huge directing career because she can tell a story on screen. The proof is in the product.
