50 Cent may only be 40, but I believe what he's selling in court right now.
He's facing a court judgement of $5 million, but he claims he doesn't have enough money to pay the judgement.
While in court, 50 Cent said he borrows his wealth by renting cars and jewelry... then returns the merchandise. He doesn't actually own everything he's pictured with on a daily basis.
I believe 50 Cent. Anyone who has been close to people on the top tier of wealth knows that they're allowed to borrow big ticket items as means of promoting the products for sales to consumers.
Essentially what 50 Cent is exposing is the power plays of product placement. The companies and the celebrities both benefit from the relationship. Sometimes they're paid to be photographed in certain cars, with jewelry or products, and other times they're simply allowed to borrow or rent things at a lower cost. Sometimes they can keep smaller merchandise as a trade while other times bigger ticket items must be returned to the stores.
Yep. 50 Cent is telling the truth. How this disclosure will affect his judgement is unknown. But it won't deter his career. 50 Cent has a huge following. He's earned it. He works hard for his money. And I imagine this case alone will affect what he posts on any of his accounts in the future. He's learned a lesson the hard way and it will cost him money, but not his career.
