Nicest Guy Finds Success: Stephen Merchant

Stephen Merchant is one of the nicest guys in the entertainment whom I've met.  He's self-deprecating and hilarious.  He's also very kind.

Do nice guys finish first?  Sometimes, they do.  Stephen Merchant is reportedly worth $35 Million.  Not bad for one of the nice guys.

Whether Merchant has had a falling out with Ricky Gervais is unknown.  This is business... not necessarily constant friendship. But Merchant seems to say he's open to more collaboration with Gervais on his Reddit 'Ask Me Anything.'

The best advice he gives on the Reddit AMA:   "I wanted to do comedy from a young age. I was a fan and then I found I could make people laugh. Dive in is what you have to do, but also persevere because you won't be good at it straight away. It's tough, hard work in the beginning. The comedy world is very Darwinian-the strong survive."
