In a refreshing turn of events, someone in Croatia righted a wrong after 14 long years.
A man in Croatia lost his wallet 14 years ago.
Just before Easter this year, that man received a package in the mail that included his lost wallet plus more money than he had lost. He couldn't believe it. He had apparently lost about $1,000, but received more than $1,500 in the returned wallet 14 years later.
Can you imagine?
It could happen to anyone.
You withdrawal cash from your bank to fix your roof. But you do a good deed and take someone to the hospital and somehow lose your wallet.
Days pass.
Months pass.
Years pass.
The money is clearly gone.
Out of the blue, you receive the wallet.
What a surprise!
The person who had the wallet most likely used the address from the driver's license inside of the wallet to return the money and its contents. It must have been weighing heavily on the person's mind to still have that wallet. If he or she was desperate for money, that person still wanted to repay the money plus interest.
If you found a wallet today with $1,000 in it, would you return it immediately or wait 14 years?
Having that wallet and the money must have been haunting to whomever had the wallet for more than a decade. No one needs that kind of haunting or bad karma. Although, he or she managed to turn it back into good karma.
