This is the story of Mike Anderson. It's a fascinating story of waiting it out, having perseverance, and getting on with your life while you're waiting.
Mike was convicted of robbery and sentenced to 13 years in jail. The police were supposed to pick him up to take him to jail but due to a series of errors, they forgot.
In the meantime, Mike became an upstanding citizen. He started a respectable construction business, he built a home, he got married and he had kids. He even went to church regularly.
Then, when the jail was ready to release Mike from jail after the 13 years had passed, they realized he had never been picked up in the first place.
Can you imagine being arrested after 13 years of rehabilitating yourself? It feels like this. Having your children see you being arrested for a crime that was long forgotten? Not fun.
It took months, but finally some good judge came to his senses to right the wrong and Mike was released for time served.
This story has all the makings for a great film. The audience always loves a happy ending.
