Rachel Dolezal.
The woman who was born to caucasian parents yet says she identifies as black. To each his or her own identity, but to most of the world she is seen as caucasian.
If she's trying to do damage control, her situation just seems to be getting worse not better. Everything she's saying in interviews is being fact-checked. And it's not looking good for her.
Crisis managers agree that Rachel should just stay quiet for a while.
To me, the entire episode is just one huge lie. That's the biggest problem with her continuing to chatter on about her identity.
Now, we hear the news that she's in talks for a reality show.
Really? Do we need a reality show about her life?
So, in this day and age, you can become a celebrity by lying to people and get your own reality show? You can be financially rewarded for lies.
She doesn't have to do a reality show. She doesn't have to expose her life more than she already has. In fact, she could just continue painting. She seems to have a real talent for art.
Either way, I'm expecting a six-figure book deal from a big publishing house to be announced soon.
