Higher Salaries Needed: Wonder Why You're Priced Out of Home Ownership?

This is shocking information.

The price of homes has escalated over the years but the salaries of the average American worker have not matched that price inflation.

As a result, it's hard to buy a home or maintain home ownership.

How much money do you need to make to own a home city-by-city?

Here are the latest numbers for the salary you must earn to buy a home in major cities.  The research covers 27 major cities.

A few of the standout numbers include the lowest salary needed to buy a home.  That would be Cleveland, Ohio where the average home price is only $105,900.  You would only need an annual salary of $29,393 in order to own a home in that city.

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania is also on the affordable end with the average house price of $131,000. That would require an annual salary of $30,786.

Los Angeles, California:  An average home price $434,700 requires an annual salary of $85,081.

The highest is San Francisco where an average home price is $748,300.  You would need an annual salary of $141,416.
