Things have a way of going viral and international in a split second.
Take the case of two men who made rude comments on live television.
The video made its way to Reddit (uh-oh) and spread like wild fire online. Computer savvy folks tracked the men down through social media and flagged their company names. One of the men has already been fired from his company and the other man is in serious trouble at his company as the situation is being "addressed."
You have to be so careful about your behavior everywhere these days, especially online. Be careful what you post. Be careful what you "like." Be careful what you say.
To these men who said these vulgar things on live television, duh... what were you thinking? No one would recognize you? It's video, not radio. We. Can. See. You.
For heaven's sakes people, everyone knows what you're doing at any moment of the day. Your life is an open book. Some bosses even keep an eye on you and your travels.
One employee was recently fired from a job that paid her $87,000 a year when she uninstalled a GPS app on her company phone so the company couldn't track her locations in her after-work hours. Forget it. She was fired because her company actually wanted to track her 24 hours a day. It's creepy, but Big Brother is watching. She's suing in excess of $500,000, of course, but who knows if it's going to be deemed by the court to be an invasion of privacy or not.
The computer that I'm typing on at this moment may be spying on me. Even worse, I won't know if I'm being watched because the red light won't be activated.
Think they're smart enough to disable a red light? Anyone can do it. Even that trustworthy man you've been dating.
I once dated a man for many months who showed me how he disabled the red light on a hidden camera in his home so he could secretly videotape. Um. Yeah. The relationship came to a screeching halt with that disclosure.
Watch your backs. Be smart. Be aware. And be careful what you say and do at all times...
