McDonald's Replacing Workers With Self-Serve Kiosks?

If you want a burger your way, McDonald's has the answer with self-serve kiosks.

With people complaining and picketing the fast food restaurant and demanding higher wages, it's had an influence on McDonald's but not the way you think.  Instead of paying higher wages, it looks like they can potentially replace workers with the kiosks as they've been testing the self-serve machines for months at random locations across the United States and Australia.

Customers seems to like the option.  Some have even become semi-famous by creating big sandwiches on the self-serve kiosk.

The self-serve kiosks have been added to so many stores already, it makes sense that fast food restaurants would eventually embrace the idea.  I've seen the kiosks from Walmart to grocery stores. And customers pay for their goods faster and ultimately are out of the store at a faster pace.  Shorter lines make customers happy.

So, now McDonald's has found a way to potentially eliminate a few employees and get the fast food customer out even faster.

Some McDonald's are also offering your meal in "60 seconds" in the drive-thru or it's free.  That 60 seconds is only from the time you pay for your food at the first window until you reach the second window.  Start your timers in the drive-thru if you see the sign... ready, set... go!

I wonder if the self-serve kiosks will serve you in 60 seconds?  Only time will tell...
