Salaries Needed to Live in American Cities

Do you want to own a home in a major American city?
Then, you're going to need an impressive salary to do so.

There's an amazing article in the Daily Mail:
The salary you'll need to earn to buy a home in 27 cities: San Francisco's most expensive (again!) while Cleveland is the new most affordable

This breakdown is so important to know.  People who are unemployed and considering moving to a new city ask me regularly for the numbers.  When you're applying for jobs and looking for a future for your family, you need to know how much income you will need to be a homeowner.

Previously, the Daily Mail has researched income needs vs. cost of an apartment rental:
Revealed: The hourly wage a renter needs to afford a 2-bedroom apartment across the US...and Hawaii is the most expensive

Everything in the world is pricey.  Big cities are the most expensive.  The food prices, gas prices and housing prices are the highest in the biggest cities.  Be prepared and make a plan before you decide to move out of your current location.  You will need a livable wage.  And honestly, the number of livable wages being offered by corporate America are decreasing.

So, my advice:  Consider your budget and apply for a job in a place you can afford.

Good luck!
